Created by a mom who wanted better for her kids
Food has always been how my family shows love. When I became a mom, I couldn’t find baby food that reflected the same balance, flavor, and nourishment I wanted for my children. Most options felt too sweet, too simple, or not enough like real food.
Remikai was created to offer babies a more meaningful start, with organic ingredients, quality protein, healthy fats, and Japanese-inspired flavors designed to support adventurous little eaters from the very first bite.

WHAT PARENTS ARE SAYING
Frequently asked questions
What makes Remikai different from other baby food?
Beyond Fruit-Forward
Most baby food leans sweet. Remikai introduces babies to vegetables, proteins, healthy fats, and gentle umami.
Made Like a Real Meal
Our blends are inspired by balanced meals, not just fruit-and-vegetable combinations.
Japanese-Inspired Flavor
Thoughtful ingredients like kabocha, satsumaimo, mushrooms, vegetables, and proteins help babies experience more variety early.
Why flavor beyond sweet?
Early feeding is about more than nutrition. It is also how babies begin learning flavor. A savory-first approach helps introduce babies to more balanced tastes from the beginning, rather than relying mainly on sweetness. Over time, this may help build familiarity with vegetables and support a wider acceptance of real foods.
What is umami, and why does it matter?
Umami is one of the five basic tastes, often described as savory, rich, and deeply satisfying. It is naturally found in foods like mushrooms, tomatoes, seaweed, and broths. Babies are already familiar with umami because it is present in breast milk, which is one reason savory flavors can feel naturally gentle and approachable. For Remikai, umami is part of creating meals that feel balanced, real, and flavorful.
Are your meals sweetened with fruit?
No. Remikai does not rely on fruit to sweeten our meals. We focus on vegetables, proteins, and healthy fats to create balanced blends with more savory flavor. When ingredients have natural sweetness, it comes from whole foods like sweet potato or kabocha, not added sugars or fruit-heavy formulas.
Who are your recipes developed with?
Our recipes are being developed with pediatric dietitian guidance to help support babies’ nutritional needs and early feeding. We want every blend to feel thoughtful, balanced, and rooted in both nourishment and real-life practicality.
